ESP32 is Espressif's successor to the popular Wifi-module ESP8266 and is now a fully fledged IoT microcontroller. The ESP32-WROOM32 is a surface mount module intended for integration in home-brewed projects, and has functions for almost any application. Among these are bluetooth and Wifi for wireless communication, SDIO, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, LED PWM, Motor PWM, IR, capacitive touch sensors, ADC, DAC, LNA preamps, a hall effect sensor, temperature sensor...
