Can you use a fuse with a higher rated voltage than the circuit voltage?
Yes, that's perfectly fine. A fuse rated at 250 V works well in a 24 V circuit. The rated voltage only specifies the maximum voltage the fuse can handle safely.

Can you choose a fuse with a different current rating when replacing one?
No, it's crucial to always replace a fuse with one that has the same current rating (A) as the original. If the circuit requires a 1.25 A fuse, you must replace it with exactly 1.25 A. Neither overrating nor underrating is allowed.

What is breaking capacity?
Breaking capacity, measured in amperes, indicates the maximum current (short-circuit current) the fuse can safely interrupt. If this capacity is exceeded, an arc may form inside the fuse, allowing current to pass through even after the fuse has blown. Breaking capacity, therefore, defines the fuse's ability to handle and interrupt short-circuit currents safely.
