Gemma version 2 is a minimal micro controller from Adafruit, suitable for small wearables projects. Gemma is based on an ATTiny85 micro controller and can be programmed via the Arduino IDE over USB. The board measures just 28mm in diameter. Despite its small size, Gemma features 8kB flash, 3 GPIOs (1x analog input and 2 PWM outputs and USB.
Please note that even though Gemma can be programmed via the Arduino IDE, it's not 100% compatible. It doesn't have any serial port connection for USB, so the serial monitor cannot be used for debugging or data transfers. And some USB3.0 ports can have trouble detecting the bootloader, in such case, just use a USB2.0 or a USB hub in between. Linux is not supported, so for the moment, please use Mac or Windows instead.
The changes from version 1 to the current version 2 includes an on/off switch and a MicroB connector instead of Mini.
