AVR-ISP CH is a USB programmer for 8-bit AVR microcontrollers, compatible with the AVRISP mkII protocol and supporting the programming interfaces ICSP, PDI, and TPI. It is intended for both development and production environments where Flash and EEPROM memories, as well as configuration bits, need to be programmed directly on the circuit board without removing the microcontroller from the application.
AVR-ISP CH works with established development tools such as Microchip (Atmel) Studio 4/5/6/7. Comes delivered with drivers for use with AVR Studio 4, but can be upgraded for use with newer versions.
The device can be configured to use ports from CH0-CH4, meaning that several devices can be used at the same time. Relatively fast programming, programming speeds up to 926kHz. A built-in clock generator on the back allows output of software-selectable frequencies from 0-3.6864MHz.
The programmer connects to the host computer via USB-B and is powered from the USB port. Included are adapters for use with 2x5 and 2x3 pin connectors, plus one adapter to loose dupont cables for nonstandard pinouts. Uses a CH340 USB-UART converter.
