PCIe expansion board for Raspberry Pi 5 with a MiniPCIe slot, Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports. The Waveshare PCIe TO MiniPCIe GbE USB3.2 HAT+ expands the Raspberry Pi 5 with multiple connectivity options via the computer's PCIe interface. The board follows the HAT+ standard and connects via a 16-pin PCIe cable.
The expansion board features a MiniPCIe slot for compatible 4G modules, such as the SIM7600G-H-PCIE and EG25-G mPCIe. With such a module, the Raspberry Pi 5 can connect to mobile networks and be used in applications such as routers, IoT systems and remote monitoring. The board also features a Nano-SIM card slot and supports GNSS positioning via a compatible 4G module. Please note that the 4G module is not included.
The built-in VL805 USB controller provides two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports for connecting external USB devices. The board also features a Gigabit Ethernet port based on the RTL8153B, supporting network speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s.
A built-in INA219 chip enables real-time monitoring of the power supply. The board also features EEPROM for storing HAT identification and product information. DIP switches are used to configure the 4G module's power supply control and the direction of USB signals.
The expansion board supports Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu and OpenWRT and is designed to operate without installing separate drivers.
