Product description
LIN Transceiver featuring the Onsemi NCV7329 - Slave. LIN (Local Interconnect Network) module designed for automotive and embedded applications. The module is developed for easy integration with microcontrollers, enabling LIN communication without complex hardware. It is suitable for both hobby projects and professional designs.
The module is intended for the development of LIN-based systems such as power windows, seat control systems, and climate sensors in vehicles. It is compatible with common microcontroller platforms, including Arduino, making it suitable for both prototyping and finished products. Up to 16 devices can be connected to the same LIN bus.
The board features an open-source hardware design and is complemented by documentation that allows users to customise the design to their own requirements. The product is manufactured in the EU and includes technical support.
The NCV7329 supports communication speeds from 1 kbit/s to 20 kbit/s and complies with LIN 2.x, ISO 17987-4, and SAE J2602. The transceiver includes built-in protection features such as thermal shutdown, undervoltage protection, and transient protection on the LIN bus. It also supports Normal, Sleep, and Standby operating modes to reduce power consumption when communication is not active.
