RS-485 transceiver module for serial communication over long distances and in electrically noisy environments. RS-485 is a well-established standard used for robust data communication in industrial applications, supporting data transmission over distances of up to 1200 metres at speeds of up to 20 Mbit/s. The module converts serial TTL communication to RS-485 and is suitable for connecting microcontrollers to RS-485-based systems.
Communication takes place over a differential two-wire bus, providing high immunity to noise and interference. The module operates from a 5 V supply and features low power consumption, making it suitable for both industrial and embedded applications.
