Product description
Adafruit RGB Matrix Bonnet is an expansion board for Raspberry Pi designed to control panels for signage solutions (RGB LED matrices/panels) with a HUB75 interface. The board connects directly to the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header and features level shifters that convert the Raspberry Pi's 3.3 V logic to 5 V for controlling the LED matrix. It comes fully assembled and requires no soldering for normal use.
The board includes power protection circuitry and a connection for an external 5 V power supply. It supports HUB75 matrices with resolutions of 16×32, 32×32, and 32×64 pixels. 64×64 matrices can also be used by soldering a jumper on the board. Multiple matrices can be daisy-chained; Adafruit states that configurations up to 32×128 pixels have been tested. The board is not intended for NeoPixel or other individually addressable LEDs.
