Product description
SBC-SSR01 from Joy-It is a four-channel solid-state relay (SSR) module for AC voltage. It allows single-board computers or microcontrollers to control AC loads with galvanic isolation between the control circuitry and the load. The module enables control of four separate AC circuits, providing good electrical isolation and sufficient current (max. 2 A) for small to medium loads such as lighting, small motors, pumps, and fans.
Specifications:
- Control voltage: 5 VDC
- Maximum AC voltage: 240 VAC
- Maximum load current per channel: 2 A
- Input logic threshold: 0-2.5 V = OFF, 3.3-5 V = ON
- Control current: approx. 12.5 mA
- Trigger current: 2 mA
- Isolation: galvanic, via optocoupler
- Dimensions: 57 x 55 x 23 mm
Advantages:
- No moving parts (solid-state), providing longer lifespan and silent operation
- Galvanic isolation increases safety and reduces interference with the control circuit
- Compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V logic levels, making it easy to use with systems such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi
- Compact size, easy to integrate into small systems
Limitations:
- Maximum 2 A per channel at 240 VAC means the module is not suitable for heavy loads
- Heat buildup during extended operation may require cooling if multiple channels are used simultaneously
- Designed for AC voltages above approximately 100 VAC; not suitable for lower AC voltages
