Product description
Modulino Buttons is a Qwiic module with three push buttons (and three orange LEDs) for interactive projects, menu systems or quick control. Modulino Buttons is also included in the Arduino Plug and Make Kit (41022148) - a starter kit that makes it easy to get started with Arduino, Arduino Cloud and Modulino. Included in that kit are seven Modulino modules.
The Arduino Modulino series includes a range of plug-and-play modules that can be easily connected to, for example, Arduino Uno R4 WIFI or other microcontrollers with support for Qwiic. With the Arduino Nano Carrier module (41024622), the entire Arduino Nano family has easy access to Qwiic.
What is Qwiic? It is a standard of pre-wired cables and connectors that use the I²C bus. There are several connector standards for I²C, but Qwiic is the most common and widely used. Examples of manufacturers using Qwiic are SparkFun, Arduino, Adafruit and Electrokit.
What makes Qwiic simple is that connection is done with a ready-made 4-wire cable (a Qwiic cable is included with all Modulino modules). Modulino modules have two Qwiic sockets, making it easy to daisy chain them together. This is useful when using several modules in the same project. There is no need for a breadboard or jumper wires.
Qwiic is particularly suitable for educational purposes, where the focus is on programming of sensors and controls, and where you choose to introduce breadboards and jumper wires at a later stage.
It is possible to combine Qwiic modules from different manufacturers. The simplicity of using Qwiic is obvious.
About Arduino Modulinos:
Ready-to-use sample code
Beginners and experienced developers alike can implement advanced features using pre-configured templates for the Arduino Cloud and the dedicated Modulino library, which supports both Arduino C++ and MicroPython.
