Product description
microSD Shield for Arduino enabling mass storage via SPI interface.
A shield that provides an Arduino board with storage capability via a microSD card. Useful when larger amounts of data need to be stored, such as in a data logger. The interface to the SD card is handled via SPI.
The clock and data lines are broken out to digital pins D11–D13 on the Arduino, and the chip select (CS) line is connected to D8. Since most libraries assume that CS is connected to D10, some code adjustments may be necessary. The shield also includes a small prototyping area – ideal for connecting sensors, for example. The difference between this version and the previous one is the inclusion of a voltage level shifter that converts 5V signals to 3.3V, to prevent damage to connected SD cards.
