Product description
MQ-6 semiconductor sensor for LPG. The sensitive material in the MQ-6 gas sensor is SnO2, which has low conductivity in clean air. When the target gas (flammable gas) is present, the sensor’s conductivity increases with the gas concentration. A simple electronic circuit can be used to convert this change in conductivity into a corresponding output signal representing the gas concentration. MQ-6 has high sensitivity to LPG. Compared to MQ-5, MQ-6 has higher sensitivity to heavier hydrocarbons (butane/propane).
The sensor can be mounted on a suitable breakout board 41004066.
