Product description
Adafruit VL53L1X is a laser-based Time of Flight distance sensor for precise contactless measurement over longer distances. The sensor measures from approx. 30 mm up to 4000 mm and is ideal for robotics, level measurement, presence detection, automation, and interactive projects where high precision is desired. The narrow, invisible laser beam provides more accurate measurement than traditional IR sensors and a significantly narrower sensing field than ultrasonic sensors.
VL53L1X is the next generation of ST's FlightSense sensors and offers an update rate of up to 50 Hz for fast response. The sensor uses I2C communication and works with many microcontroller systems such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. A built-in regulator and level shifting make the module compatible with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic systems.
The board is equipped with two Qwiic connectors for quick solder-free connection. Pin headers are included (not pre-soldered) for use with, for example, a breadboard.
