Product description
Adafruit VL53L4CX is a laser-based Time of Flight distance sensor for precise contactless measurement over long distances. The sensor measures from approx. 1 mm up to 6000 mm and is suitable for robotics, level measurement, presence detection, automation, and interactive projects where high precision is desired. It uses a narrow, invisible laser beam, providing more accurate measurement than traditional IR sensors and a narrower sensing field than ultrasonic sensors.
VL53L4CX can also identify multiple objects within the measurement range and report separate distances, making the module useful for more advanced applications. The board communicates via I2C and works with many microcontroller systems such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. A built-in regulator and level shifting allow the module to be used with both 3.3 V and 5 V logic systems.
The board is equipped with two Qwiic connectors for quick solder-free connection. Pin headers are included (not pre-soldered) for connection to, for example, a breadboard.
