Product description
This spooky electronics kit features two red LEDs that start pulsing when darkness falls. As if that weren't enough, you can make the skull's eyes pulse faster by placing your finger on its metal teeth (the touch sensor).
The kit contains surface-mount components (SMD) and provides a fun and educational soldering exercise for anyone looking to develop their skills.
How the skull works:
Behind those terrifying eyes lies a clever little circuit. An operational amplifier acts as a triangle-wave oscillator, controlling the pulsing LEDs through a transistor. A light sensor ensures that the skull only comes to life when it gets dark.
Want to make it even scarier? Place your finger on the metal teeth! The larger the area of the sensor you touch, the lower the resistance and the faster the red eyes pulse. Your fingertips need to be moist for this to work.
Specifications:- Supply voltage: 3 V

Read through the assembly instructions before starting. The kit contains small surface-mount components and requires some soldering experience.
You will need:
- Soldering iron rated at approximately 40–60 W with a fine tip
- Solder, preferably with a small diameter
- Tweezers for handling small components
- Flat work surface with good lighting
- A magnifying glass, magnifier or soldering microscope can make assembly easier but is not required.
