Kit for practicing SMD hand soldering. A practical way to learn how to solder different types of SMD components. The kit includes a PCB and 125 components. Contents: 0402, 0603 and 0805 resistors/capacitors. 1206 MELF diodes, 0805 LEDs, SOP8 and SOP16 IC circuits. The exercises range from basic level (1206) to real challenges (0402). The components are arranged in groups of different sizes. As a bonus, if all 274 solder joints are successfully completed, 3–12 V DC can be connected and the result is a working running light. The project should be considered a soldering exercise rather than a soldering kit, as not all builds function on the first attempt.
To achieve good results with SMD soldering, the following is recommended: a soldering iron with a fine tip, thin solder (preferably 0.6 mm or less), flux, a magnifying lamp with good lighting, and patience.
