Product description
CO sensor based on the MQ7 for detecting carbon monoxide (CO). The module is suitable for gas alarms, safety systems, environmental monitoring, and other projects where the presence of carbon monoxide needs to be monitored. Communication takes place via I2C through two Qwiic connectors, making the module easy to connect to Arduino and other compatible microcontrollers without requiring additional analog or digital inputs.
The MQ7 sensor is optimised for carbon monoxide and requires a warm-up period before reliable measurements can be obtained. A pre-programmed ATtiny404 microcontroller manages the sensor and transfers measurement data via I2C. When carbon monoxide is detected, an LED provides a visual indication. The module features four mounting holes and is supplied with a pin header (not pre-soldered).
