Product description
The 4-inch e-Paper HAT+ is a color display based on E Ink Spectra E6 technology, designed for projects where low power consumption and good readability in ambient light are prioritized. The display uses reflective technology without backlight, providing a paper-like appearance and allowing the content to remain visible even without power supply. E6 stands for “6 pigment colors” and means that the display can show: black, white, red, yellow, blue, and green (created by combining pigments).
It is supplied with a HAT+ driver board and is directly compatible with Raspberry Pi via a standard 40-pin GPIO header. The SPI interface also makes it suitable for integration with platforms such as Arduino, STM32, and other microcontrollers.
E Ink Spectra 6 technology enables more colors than traditional e-paper displays by combining the primary colors red, yellow, and blue, resulting in higher contrast and improved color reproduction.
The display is suitable for applications such as price tags, information signage, industrial instruments, and IoT solutions where low power consumption and/or static display is required.
Supplied with a connection cable with 9x dupont connectors (used for microcontrollers other than Raspberry Pi), as well as screws and spacers.
