Product description
USB-to-UART (TTL) adapter 3.3V with CP2102. Serial converter for programming. It is used to connect microcontrollers, sensors and other devices with serial communication (UART) to a computer with USB. It supports baud rates up to 1 Mbit/s. The adapter uses 3.3 V signal levels. A common alternative to CP2102 is variants from FTDI.
- Connections: 3.3V, GND, Tx/Rx and DTR (can be used for reset to Arduino).
- Dimensions: 48.5 x 15.8 mm
- USB standard: USB 2.0 (full speed)
- Connector: USB A male
- Data I/O voltage levels: 3.3 V (5 V tolerant)
- Maximum data rate: 921.6 kbps
- Power supply: 25 mA
Typical connection:
To connect a serial device to your computer's USB port, you will probably only need to use the GND, TX, and RX signals. The TX and RX signals use 3.3 volts, but the USB adapter's input ports can handle up to 5.5 volts. Therefore, it is possible to connect directly to a microcontroller's I/O ports.
