Li-Ion charger module for 3.7V Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries. The board is designed for safe and efficient charging using the TP4056, a proven charging IC that utilizes CC/CV (Constant Current / Constant Voltage) charging, the recommended charging method for lithium-based batteries. The module is suitable for battery-powered projects, IoT devices, portable electronics, sensor nodes, and prototyping applications where a simple and reliable charging solution is desired.
The charger can be powered via USB-C or through external 5V connections on the pin header. During the charging process, the battery is monitored automatically and charged in multiple stages to optimize both safety and battery lifespan. If the battery is deeply discharged, a gentle pre-charge cycle is applied before normal charging begins. As the battery approaches full charge, the circuit automatically switches to constant-voltage mode and terminates the charging cycle. Charging status is clearly indicated by two LEDs showing charging and fully charged states.
The TP4056 includes temperature regulation, automatic recharge, charge current monitoring, and precise charge voltage regulation. This makes the module a practical choice for projects where the battery should be charged directly within the finished device without needing to be removed.
