Product description
The ULN2004A is a seven-channel NPN Darlington transistor array designed for interfacing low-voltage logic outputs to high-voltage, high-current loads. Each channel consists of a Darlington pair with a series input resistor sized for direct drive from 5V CMOS or 14V PMOS/CMOS logic without additional components. Each output includes a suppression diode connected to a common COM pin for clamping inductive load transients. All seven channels are independent and can be used individually or in parallel for higher current.
- Channels: 7, independent NPN Darlington pairs
- Input resistor: 10.5 kΩ series, optimized for 5V CMOS and 14V PMOS/CMOS
- Output voltage (max): 50V
- Output current per channel: 500 mA continuous, 600 mA peak
- Output saturation voltage: 1.1V typ at 350 mA, 1.3V max
- Input voltage (logic high min): 8.5V for guaranteed turn-on at full load
- Suppression diodes: integrated, common anode at COM pin
