8-bit shift register with storage register and tri-state outputs
The 74HCT595S16-13 is ideal for applications requiring serial-to-parallel data conversion, such as driving LED matrices, seven-segment displays, or other digital outputs when I/O resources are limited. This device is commonly used in microcontroller projects to easily expand the number of digital outputs using only three control signals (Data, Clock, and Latch). Multiple devices can also be cascaded to further increase the number of outputs.
