The N connector is a 50-ohm connector. Due to its wideband, low-reflection performance, from DC to 11 GHz, it is used in high-quality antenna systems. The N-connector has a larger diameter than many other RF connectors and is therefore easy to tighten by hand. N-connectors are found in RF applications both indoors and outdoors, including radar, mobile base stations, measuring instruments and many microwave band antennas.
