Product description
Music Maker MP3 Shield is an audio and music add-on for Arduino R3/R4 that makes it possible to play, process, and even record audio directly from a project. The shield is based on the VS1053B codec chip, which can decode a wide range of audio formats and is controlled via SPI. This makes it easy to play audio from a microSD card with minimal load on the microcontroller.
The board can be used for everything from sound effects and interactive installations to MIDI projects and audio playback in embedded systems. The built-in MIDI synthesizer allows the shield to function as a simple synthesizer or drum machine with multiple instruments and effects.
The stereo line/headphone output makes it possible to connect directly to headphones or an amplifier. Extra GPIO pins can be used for buttons, indicators, or other peripherals. The microSD card slot supports FAT32 and makes it easy to store and play audio files.
