Product description
MIDI Shield enables Arduino to send and receive MIDI data via opto-isolated 5-pin DIN connectors. It can, for example, be used to turn an Arduino into a MIDI synthesizer, MIDI controller, or other type of MIDI device. Two potentiometers are connected to A1 and A2 and can be used in a sketch to control parameters or send MIDI data. The shield also includes three push buttons connected to D2, D3, and D4.
The MIDI Shield is supplied partially as a soldering kit. SMD components are pre-assembled, while connectors and potentiometers are not mounted on the shield at delivery.
