Product description
Breakout board with an integrated MEMS microphone SPW2430. Intended for sound detection and recording in embedded systems. Unlike traditional electret microphones, this solution requires neither an external amplifier nor bias resistors, which simplifies the design and reduces the component count. The module provides an analog output signal that can be connected directly to an ADC input on, for example, a microcontroller. The board includes an onboard voltage regulator and filter capacitors, enabling supply from both 3.3 V and 5 V without additional components. The output is available both as a DC-coupled signal (for direct connection to an ADC) and as an AC-coupled signal via an onboard capacitor for audio applications.
The microphone has a frequency range that covers typical audio applications such as speech and basic sound analysis, making it suitable for projects such as sound-reactive systems, recording, or FFT-based signal processing.
