ICL7660A is a voltage converter that can be used to invert the input voltage (Vout = -Vin), double it (Vout = Vin *2) or to arbitrarily divide or multiply voltages. The input voltage can be anything between 1.5V and 12V. To create a negative voltage, only two external capacitors are needed, and for doubling, only to capacitors, two resistors and a diode are needed. Suitable for supplying opamps and other low current devices from e.g. battery or a wall wart.
