Product description
An HDMI EDID emulator simulates a connected monitor or TV. It is used to make a computer, server or other HDMI source detect a connected display, even when no physical monitor is present.
EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data and is a standard used to communicate information about a display's capabilities to the connected device.
The EDID emulator is used to maintain a fixed resolution and prevent display detection problems, such as a black screen or incorrect resolution when monitors are switched on and off or switched via a KVM switch.
Suitable for computers without a connected monitor (headless), remote access via VNC or Remote Desktop, multi-monitor setups, digital signage and presentation systems. The adapter can also be used to simulate a virtual 4K display, for example when recording video in 4K resolution.
The HDMI EDID emulator is Plug & Play and requires no additional drivers. Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and computers with an HDMI output.
