Waveshare ESP32-P4-WIFI6-Touch-LCD-7B-C is a powerful development board featuring a 7-inch IPS touchscreen, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 LE and an included OV5647 camera. The board is based on the ESP32-P4 microcontroller with dual 32-bit RISC-V processor cores running at up to 360 MHz and a separate low-power core running at up to 40 MHz. It is designed for applications involving graphical user interfaces (HMI), image processing, industrial control and IoT.
The capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and supports five simultaneous touch points. The display connects via MIPI-DSI and is controlled by the GT911 touch controller. The board features 32 MB PSRAM and 32 MB flash memory, providing space for advanced graphical interfaces and programs.
A separate ESP32-C6 module provides support for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 LE. The board also features CAN, RS485, UART and I2C interfaces, along with 17 programmable GPIO connections. For multimedia applications, it includes a MIPI-CSI camera interface, dual microphones with echo cancellation, an audio codec and a speaker connector. The included OV5647 camera can be used for image acquisition and image processing projects.
The development board features USB 2.0 OTG, a microSD card slot with SDIO 3.0, a rechargeable battery connector and a battery holder for the real-time clock. The ESP32-P4 provides hardware support for JPEG, H.264 and graphics acceleration.
Programming can be performed using, for example, Espressif's ESP-IDF development environment.
