ESP-Prog-2 is a professional tool for programming, serial communication, and JTAG debugging of Espressif-based systems. The board is intended for development and testing of ESP8266, ESP32, ESP32-S2, ESP32-S3, and ESP32-C3, where automatic firmware downloading is combined with online debugging via JTAG. The unit connects via USB Type-C and is identified as two separate ports on the computer, one for programming and one for JTAG debugging, which simplifies parallel development and troubleshooting.
The design is compact and practical, with dual programming and JTAG interfaces in both 2.54 mm and 1.27 mm pin pitch, providing compatibility with a wide range of target platforms and adapters. Power supply to the target platform can be selected between 3.3 V and 5 V via jumper, while the logic levels for RX/TX and JTAG are fixed at 3.3 V. The board includes an integrated ESP32-S3 module acting as a USB bridge, as well as status indicators for power, programming, and JTAG activity. Extended IO pins make it possible to build custom functions or test interfaces directly on the board.
ESP-Prog-2 is suitable for professional firmware development, prototyping, and production testing where stable programming and advanced debugging are required. Support is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS, with integration into Espressif’s official development tools.
