Product description
Adafruit TPL5110 Power Timer. Add-on board that enables ultra-low power consumption for electronic projects.
Built-in timer (100 ms to 2 hours) adjustable via trimpotentiometer or external resistor.
The TPL5110 periodically powers up the project and waits for a "Done" signal. If no signal is received within the set timeout period, the device is reset like a watchdog timer.
Connect VDD to a 3–5 V power source, the project’s power input to the Drive pin, and a "Done" signal from the project to the Done pin. In the project’s code, the Done signal should be set high once the task is complete.
When the TPL5110 is active (while the project is powered down), the current consumption is approximately 20 µA.
Manual activation can be performed using the onboard button or by connecting an external button.
Note: Although the TPL5110 works with the Huzzah ESP8266 Feather, compatibility with the ESP8266 is not guaranteed.
The breakout board is delivered fully assembled with the TPL5110 chip and all necessary components, including headers. Some light soldering is required for breadboard use.
