Product description
AD converter module based on the Texas Instruments ADS7828 with 12-bit resolution and up to eight analog inputs. The module can be used with eight ground referenced (single-ended) channels or four pseudo differential inputs for more accurate measurements where the reference ground may differ from the local ground. Qwiic connectors enable quick, solder-free connection to an I2C host, while all signals are also broken out to pin headers for flexible integration. All holes are placed on a 2.54mm grid which makes the module compatible with solder-free breadboards and protoboards. Pin headers are included but not pre-mounted.
The reference voltage can be selected between an internal 2.5 V or an external reference, and on the module the REF pin is connected to AV+ by default, providing a measurement range from 0 V up to the supply voltage. Built-in pull-up resistors for I2C and configurable address pins allow multiple modules to be used on the same I2C bus. The board is suitable for data acquisition, sensor systems, and embedded measurement applications.
