Product description
9-axis (9-DoF) absolute orientation sensor featuring the BNO055 IMU from Bosch. An advanced motion sensing module that combines a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, and 3-axis magnetometer together with an onboard processor that performs sensor fusion directly on the device. This means the module can provide ready-to-use orientation data without the need to implement complex algorithms on your microcontroller. This makes the BNO055 suitable for robotics, navigation, stabilization, VR/AR, drones, and motion tracking.
The sensor can provide orientation in the form of Euler angles, quaternions, or vectors as well as data for acceleration, rotation rate, and magnetic field. The integrated ARM Cortex-M0-based processor handles the calculations and simplifies integration so useful data can be obtained quickly via I2C. The board is equipped with Qwiic connectors for quick connection without soldering. It can also be used with a breadboard via the included pin headers (not pre-soldered).
