Product description
X2 class capacitor. Used in mains-connected applications and connected directly between line and neutral to suppress interference and transients in the mains voltage. Constructed with metallized polypropylene film (MKP) with self-healing properties. This provides good stability, low dissipation factor and high reliability during long-term operation.
The capacitor is encapsulated in a flame-retardant plastic housing with epoxy filling and is designed to withstand overvoltage and impulse stress that may occur in mains-connected circuits. It is therefore suitable for applications such as mains filters, interference suppression in switched-mode power supplies, household appliances and other electronics connected directly to the mains. The design and safety requirements comply with the IEC 60384-14 standard for X2 class interference suppression capacitors.
