The UNI-T UT682 is a wire tracker designed for troubleshooting and identification of network cables, telephone lines, coaxial cables, and electrical wires without removing the cable insulation. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver and is suitable for installation, service, and troubleshooting of communication and signal cables.
The instrument can trace cables over long distances and includes functions for identifying broken wires, short circuits, and wire sequence. Signal strength indication provides clear feedback during cable tracing. The UT682 also supports identification of shielded and unshielded network cables as well as fast or slow wire sequence measurement.
