Please note that the cable has no way to negotiate USB-PD, and therefore will be limited to about 500mA on more modern USB power supplies that expect PD negotiation. When used with older devices, the current output should not be limited.
When used the other way around, with the power source connected to the open-end connectors, higher voltages and currents can be used.
