Product description
The UCC27424 is a high-speed dual-channel low-side gate driver designed to drive N-channel MOSFETs and IGBTs in switching power supplies, DC/DC converters, motor control, and other high-frequency applications. It serves as a buffer stage between a PWM controller output and the power device gate. Both channels are non-inverting with independent active-high enable inputs (ENBA/ENBB), internally pulled up to VDD via 100k resistors, defaulting to enabled when left open. INA and INB have no internal pull-up or pull-down and must be tied to VDD or GND if unused. The output stage combines bipolar and MOSFET transistors in parallel to minimize shoot-through current and deliver high peak drive current through the Miller plateau region.
- Output peak current: 4 A source / 4 A sink per channel
- Supply voltage (VDD): 4.0–15 V
- Channels: 2, non-inverting
- Input logic (INA/INB): CMOS/TTL compatible, 3.3 V sensitivity across full VDD range. no internal pull-up or pull-down, must not be left floating
- Enable inputs (ENBA/ENBB): active-high, 100k pull-up to VDD, default enabled when open
- Propagation delay: 25 ns (input falling) / 35 ns (input rising) | Rise time: 20 ns | Fall time: 15 ns (1.8 nF load)
- Input withstands 500 mA reverse current without damage or logic upset
- Operating temperature: −40°C to +125°C
