UNI-T UT320T is a combination infrared thermometer (with laser pointer) and probe thermometer for fast temperature measurements with or without contact. The infrared measurement is used to quickly check surface temperatures, while the integrated probe is used for accurate measurements in liquids, food, and other materials. The foldable probe can be rotated 180°, and the thermometer features a backlit display, adjustable emissivity*, as well as MAX/MIN and differential measurement (T1–T2) functions. Its rugged IP54-rated housing and 2 m drop resistance make it suitable for service, maintenance, industrial applications, laboratories, and food inspection.

Why is emissivity adjustable?
Basic infrared thermometers often have a fixed emissivity of 0.95, which works well for most organic materials and painted surfaces.
More advanced models allow the user to adjust the emissivity, making it possible to measure temperatures more accurately on metals, plastics, ceramics, and other materials with different emissivity values.
Practical tip: If you need to measure the temperature of a shiny metal surface, place a piece of matte black electrical tape on the surface and measure the tape after it has reached the same temperature as the metal. Since the tape has an emissivity close to 0.95, the measurement will be significantly more reliable.
