Product description
Compact and efficient DC/DC converter that converts an input voltage of 5.3–36 V to a regulated output voltage of 5 V. The module uses a synchronous switching regulator with a typical efficiency of 85–95 %, resulting in low heat generation compared to linear voltage regulators.
The regulator can deliver up to approximately 2.5 A continuously at an input voltage of 24 V. The maximum output current varies depending on input voltage, ambient temperature and cooling. The module is suitable for powering microcontrollers, sensors and other electronics requiring a regulated 5 V supply.
The module features built-in protection against reverse polarity, overcurrent, short circuits and overheating. A soft-start function limits the inrush current during startup.
The regulator can be disabled via the EN control input to reduce power consumption. The module also features a Power Good output (PG) that indicates whether the output voltage is within the intended range. PG is an open-drain output that requires an external pull-up resistor.
The connections have a 2.54 mm pitch and are suitable for breadboards and prototyping boards. Straight and right-angle pin headers are included and can be soldered in place as required. The module also has two mounting holes for M2 screws.
