Product description
FG085 is an affordable function generator solering kit that covers most signal generation needs. The kit is supplied complete with PCB, components, front panel, and test leads. All SMD components are pre-assembled. Only buttons and through-hole components need to be soldered. Difficulty level: Medium. Generates signals up to 200 kHz in multiple waveforms and can also generate PWM test signals for e.g. servos.
The LCD display and menu system are user-friendly and well thought out. Frequency, amplitude, and offset can be set via the keypad and fine-tuned with the rotary encoder. The encoder’s range can be adjusted for sweeping across wide frequency ranges or for precise adjustments over smaller ranges. Maximum amplitude is determined by the supply voltage, but limited to 10 Vpp. Offset can be set from -5V to +5V, and with zero amplitude a variable DC voltage can be generated.
Note! Power supply not included. 15V is required to achieve full swing, see related products.
Please note that the push buttons have no polarity marking and can be mounted incorrectly on the PCB.
The buttons must be measured with a multimeter (continuity or resistance) to determine which pins are NO (normally open) and which are NC (normally closed).
If the buttons are mounted the wrong way, the menu system will not function.
