Product description
Compander IC, a clone of the classic SA571 found in many types of music or hi-fi equipment. Internally, it consists of two identical channels, each featuring a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with temperature compensation, as well as a rectifier circuit to extract the signal's envelope.
It commonly used for noise reduction by compressing and expanding the dynamic range before and after another stage, e.g. D/A and A/D conversion.
