RS485 TO POE ETH (B) is an industrial serial server that enables direct communication between RS485-based devices and Ethernet networks. The unit functions as a gateway and converts data transparently in both directions between RS485 and TCP/IP, making it suitable for integrating sensors, measuring instruments, and control systems into network-based solutions.
The module combines multiple functions in one unit, including a serial server, Modbus gateway, MQTT gateway, as well as support for JSON to Modbus conversion. This enables flexible integration in both industrial automation systems and IoT applications where data collection and remote monitoring is desired.
Communication is handled via an RS485 port and an RJ45 Ethernet port with support for multiple operating modes such as TCP server, TCP client, UDP, and UDP multicast. Configuration can be performed via a web browser or software, and support for DHCP and DNS simplifies network integration.
The unit is designed for industrial environments with DIN rail mounting for easy installation in electrical cabinets. It is intended for continuous operation and can be used in applications such as industrial automation, energy metering, security systems, and intelligent instrument monitoring.
