Product description
Shield to provide an RS-485 serial port to Raspberry Pi. RS-485 is an old standard for balanced serial data. Despite the old age of the inteface, it's still widely used thanks to its relatively high speed (10Mbit/s) and long range capability (over 1200m).
The shield mounts directly on the GPIO-header on the Raspberry and has a standard DB9-connector for serial data. The unused pins from the GPIO-header is broken out to headers.
