Product description
RTC module based on the DS3234 for accurate and reliable timekeeping in embedded systems. The module uses a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) with an integrated crystal, providing excellent long-term stability and accuracy compared to the internal clocks of typical microcontrollers. It is suitable for data logging, automation, industrial control systems, and other projects requiring precise timekeeping.
Communication is via a 4-wire SPI interface, making the module suitable for projects where I2C is unavailable or already in use. The real-time clock keeps track of seconds, minutes, hours, day of the week, date, month, and year, with automatic leap-year compensation up to the year 2099. The module is equipped with a CR2032 battery holder (battery not included), 256 bytes of battery-backed SRAM, two programmable alarms, a programmable square-wave output, a dedicated 32.768 kHz output, and an integrated temperature sensor for oscillator compensation.
