BR2032 and CR2032 are both lithium coin cells with the same dimensions (20 mm in diameter and 3.2 mm thick), but they differ in chemical composition and performance. CR2032 uses lithium–manganese dioxide (Li-MnO2) and has a higher rated voltage (3.0 V), higher energy density, and better performance at higher current loads. BR2032 uses lithium–polycarbon monofluoride (Li-(CF)n) and has a slightly lower rated voltage (about 2.8 V), but better stability over time and at high temperatures. BR cells are mainly used in applications with very low power consumption and long service life, such as real-time clocks in electronics, while CR cells are more common in remote controls, sensors, and other consumer electronics. BR2032 is resistant to heat and cold and remains stable in temperature conditions from -40 to +125 °C.
