Product description
CB-HFT heat shrink tubing – halogen-free and flame-retardant. A flexible heat shrink tubing made of polyolefin with good electrical and mechanical properties. The tubing is flame-retardant according to VW-1 and free from environmentally hazardous substances such as Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr, PBB, and PBDE. Thanks to the combination of high dielectric strength (greater than 15 kV/mm), high volume resistivity (greater than 10¹⁴ Ω·cm), and excellent tensile strength, it is well suited for electrical insulation, mechanical protection, and cable bundling.
With a shrink initiation temperature of approximately 90 °C and an operating temperature up to 125 °C, CB-HFT can be used in demanding applications such as automotive, marine, and building installations. The tubing is UL-approved (600 V, file no. E180908) and F-marked, ensuring high quality and reliability in professional installations.
Polyolefin heat shrink tubing shrinks when heated above its shrink initiation temperature, which for the CB-HFT series occurs at around 90 °C. When heat is applied, the tubing contracts radially (in diameter) while longitudinal change is minimal. Radial shrinkage: at least 50% of the original inner diameter.
