Product description
The TSL25911FN is a very high sensitivity light-to-digital converter that converts light intensity to a digital signal output with a direct I²C interface. The device combines a broadband photodiode (visible light plus infrared) and an IR photodiode on a single CMOS integrated circuit. Two integrated ADCs convert the photodiode currents to digital values representing the measured irradiance on each channel. This digital output can be fed into a microprocessor where the illuminance (ambient light level) in lux is derived using an empirical formula to approximate the response of the human eye.
Programmable analog gain and integration time. Suitable for operation behind dark glass, 600M:1 dynamic range. Low operating cost, two internal interrupts. Programmable upper and lower thresholds, one interrupt includes a programmable persistence filter.
Low power consumption with user selectable 3.0μA sleep mode. Compatible with I²C fast mode with data rate up to 400kbit/s.
