Product description
GNSS/GPS module for Raspberry Pi. The L76K GPS HAT is a navigation and positioning system for development projects based on Raspberry Pi 3/4/5. The module provides access to positioning services with support for multiple satellite systems and is optimized for high-speed communication and low power consumption. Supplied with GNSS/GPS antenna. Waveshare maintains a wiki with manuals, wiring diagrams, and programming examples for C/C++ and MicroPython.
Functions:
- Support for multiple GNSS systems: GPS, BeiDou (BDS), GLONASS, and QZSS
- Built-in low noise amplifier (LNA) and SAW filter for improved reception sensitivity and noise reduction
- Support for A-GNSS (assisted GNSS) for faster fix under optimal conditions
- UART communication, with baud rate 4800–115200 bps (9600 bps default)
- Update rate (GNSS data): 1 Hz default, up to 5 Hz for higher requirements
- Backup battery: Holder for ML1220 rechargeable battery, preserving ephemeris information and enabling fast “hot” start
- Four LED indicators for operating status (PWR, TXD, RXD, PPS)
- USB to UART interface via CP2102 for direct connection to a computer for programming
- Compatible physical connection to Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO header
- Development resources with demonstration examples for C/C++ and MicroPython
