Sound Card WM8960 Audio HAT – Hi-Fi audio module for Raspberry Pi 3/4/5/Zero. Waveshare WM8960 Audio HAT is a 48 kHz sound card designed for Raspberry Pi computers, enabling both stereo playback and recording. The module delivers 1 W output power, sufficient for the included stereo speakers or a pair of headphones. The board is based on the WM8960 CODEC chip with support for I²S (digital audio signal) and I²C.
Waveshare provides a wiki with development resources, including Python demos for both playback and recording.
