Product description

ST-LINK/V2 is an in-circuit debugger and programmer for STM8 and STM32 microcontrollers. The communication interface is via SWIM (Single Wire Interface Module) and JTAG/Serial Wire Debug (SWD), which can be used with any STM8 or STM32 microcontroller on an application board.

STM8 applications use the USB full-speed interface for communication with the ST Visual Develop (STVD-STM8) or ST Visual Programmer (STVP-STM8) software, or with third-party development environments.

STM32 applications use the USB full-speed interface for communication with STM32CubeIDE or third-party development environments.

Features:

  • 5 V supply voltage via USB connector
  • USB 2.0 full-speed compatible interface
  • USB Type-A to Mini-B cable included

SWIM-specific features:

  • Support for application voltage 1.65 V to 5.5 V on the SWIM interface
  • Support for SWIM low-speed and high-speed modes

Programming speed via SWIM:

  • 9.7 kbyte/s in low-speed
  • 12.8 kbyte/s in high-speed
  • SWIM cable for connection to application with ERNI standard connector

JTAG/SWD-specific features:

  • Support for application voltage 1.65 V to 3.6 V on the JTAG/SWD interface, with 5 V tolerant inputs
  • JTAG cable for connection to standard JTAG 20-pin 2.54 mm pitch connector
  • Support for JTAG
  • Support for SWD and SWV (Serial Wire Viewer) communication

Other:

  • Support for Direct Firmware Update (DFU)
  • Status LED blinks during communication with PC
  • Operating temperature: 0 °C to 50 °C
